Four Seasons of Sunday Suppers

The Four Seasons of Sunday Suppers

For 2012, our Sunday Supper series celebrates the four seasons with themes and books to celebrate the best of each season. Each season we feature a different book that highlights the cooking styles and foods that best suit the season, from the soul-warming foods of the depths of winter to the fresh, lighthearted flavours of summer.

Winter (January, February, March): All About Roasting by Molly Stevens
Many are familiar with Molly's award-winning book, All About Braising. Her much anticipated new book, All About Roasting, will become our Winter mainstay of cozy, belly-warming recipes.

Spring (April, May, June): Sunday Suppers at Lucques by Suzanne Goin
Sunday suppers at Lucques Restaurant in Los Angeles have been a weekend tradition for years. A celebration of seasonal, market to table eating, recipes from Sunday Suppers at Lucques combine fresh ingredients in novel, delectable ways.

Summer (July, August, September): In Season by Sarah Raven
In In Season, Sarah Raven, a leading proponent of the local foods movement, shows how to make the most of fresh produce, whether from your own garden, your local farmers’ market or the grocery.

Autumn (October, November, December): In the Kitchen with a Good Appetite by Melissa Clark
In the Kitchen with a Good Appetite is a shop favourite filled with inspiring, engaging stories and simply delectable recipes that celebrate local, seasonal foods.

Attendance at all Four Seasons is $1000.00 and includes all four books and Sunday Supper each month throughout the year.

Each season may also be purchased separately for $295.00 and includes the featured book of the season and Sunday Suppers for the three months that fall within that season.

Club members will meet at Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks at 5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month throughout the year:
Winter: January 15, February 19, March 18
Spring: April 15, May 20, June 17
Summer: July 15, August 19, September 16
Autumn: October 21, November 18, December 16
